What Do You Want to Know?
WHY SHOULD I BUY MY PUPPY FROM CANE CREEK GOLDENDOODLES?
It is our goal to produce a wonderful family dog. What that means to us, is investing in areas such as health testing, health guarantee, and providing socialization and training.
We invest in health testing our parent dogs. This means genetically testing each one to rule out any unwise pairings. This also allows us to determine how the genetic traits will align with each pairing. We also test our parent dogs hips for signs of hip dysplasia. Although this testing doesn't guarantee that a puppy will be free of hip problems, it is what we can do as our due diligence to give them the best possible chance of avoiding it. All of these documents are readily available per your request for you to look over prior to choosing your puppy. This also allows us to offer a 2 year guarantee on your puppy!
We utilize exercises and socialization techniques to give your puppy a good foundation. This allows us to take advantage of those first few weeks of life to hopefully improve their adult lives. The goal of the program is to avoid common behavior issues, and get a head start on training. From early neurological stimulation, to desensitizing to loud noises, and even beginning potty training.
DO YOU USE A CURRICULUM WHEN RAISING YOUR PUPPIES?
Yes! We have weekly tasks and exercises that we do with our puppies beginning at 3 days old. We use Puppy Culture as our primary program, temperament testing from BAB Program, and since this is a family business, our kids help with the socialization. We introduce a variety of household sounds and experiences they might come in contact with in their new homes, at an early age. Our goal is to get them familiar with these things so that their transition to their new home is less overwhelming. We also begin clicker training, crate training, and introduction to grooming. It is our goal to help these puppies go home with a good foundation and good trainability.
WHAT COMES WITH MY PUPPY?
Along with your new fluffy bundle of joy, we will be sending home a puppy kit. Within the kit will be enough food to give you time to buy more, or transition to your food of choice, a toy, training treats, training clicker, and your paperwork. We will send a copy of your puppy contract, health certificate, and other resources to help you with potty training, crate training, grooming and more!
Your puppy will also come with their first round of vaccines, 3 to 4 dewormings, 2 year Health Guarantee, and 1 month of complimentary pet insurance.
DO YOU OFFER SHIPPING?
We understand many of our pups will be traveling a long distance to get home, so we offer a couple options here. You are welcome to make your own arrangements, or we have a very reasonable transport service that we recommend. We will be happy to provide you with a quote for this service upon request. The transport service will drive your puppy anywhere in the USA, and bring them right to your door!
There is also a company that will fly with your puppy to your closest airport. The transporter keeps your puppy with them at all times in the cabin, and not in the belly of the plane.
Both of these options offer transporting your pup with the lowest level of stress possible as they will never be left alone.
CAN I BE ON MORE THAN ONE WAITING LIST?
Yes! You can be on multiple waiting lists. You must pay a $200 non-refundable deposit for each list you are added to, but all deposits will go towards the purchase price of one puppy (unless of course you want to keep your spot and purchase a second puppy in the future...).
WHAT HOLDS MY PLACE IN LINE?
The deposit is what holds your place in line. An application will of course be required and need to go through our approval process, however the deposit is what we have chosen to be the most fair objective way to keep everyone in order. If you application is denied, the deposit will be immediately refunded.
If you don't know what puppy you would like to reserve, that's ok. The payment of the deposit will hold your place in line so that we can discuss which puppy would be best before the next person etc.
CAN I COME VISIT?
Unfortunately we do not allow visitors. This is for the safety of our young puppies as well as for privacy as we raise our puppies here at our home. Puppy picks are done virtually by videos, pictures, and video conference. Many people have said they appreciate that they can evaluate the puppies by watching the videos multiple times rather than being swept up in emotion from an in person visit. Puppies are picked up at our event barn on the property.
WILL MY PUPPY MISS IT'S MOM AND SIBLINGS?
Puppies are great at adapting to new situations, however it will likely take a couple of days for them to feel fully secure in their new environment without their familiar faces. Your puppy will likely be a bit noisy on night one, as he/she is very used to sleeping in a puppy pile. This will pass with lots of cuddles and reassurance from you!
IF I HAVE QUESTIONS, CAN I CALL YOU?
Yes! At Cane Creek Goldendoodles, we offer support and advice for the lifetime of your pup. You may call, text, or email anytime. We will be happy to help, and if we don't know the answer, we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
WHY DO YOU REQUIRE THAT YOUR PUPPIES BY SPAYED OR NEUTERED?
1.) For the protection of our puppies. We have seen it done poorly many times in our industry. We have come across puppy mills, or just individuals that had no idea what they were doing. It is really sad to see. I'm sure some even had good intentions at the beginning, but it's just such a huge responsibility to do it the right way. Because of this, we have made it our policy 99% of the time to not allow breeding rights to limit the possibility of it happening. It is our goal to place our puppies in loving pet homes to help avoid those bad circumstances we have unfortunately come across.
2.) Responsible breeding is a complex and demanding endeavor that requires extensive knowledge, experience, and resources. It involves careful selection of breeding pairs, regular veterinary care, and deep understanding of genetics and health testing. By limiting breeding to professionals who specialize in it, we can ensure the puppies' health and genetic diversity. Even then, we rarely allow breeding rights. It is an additional fee to purchase the breeding rights, and we will only do so to an approved breeding program.
