Shedding and Allergies

A common misconception about goldendoodles is that they "don't shed,"  and are "hypoallergenic."  The reality is that some goldendoodles don't shed, but not all of them.  We want your expectations to be realistic before placing a deposit in knowing that your goldendoodle MAY shed.  Although many are low to non- shedding there is certainly no guarantee.  As far as allergies go, there is no such thing as a completely hypoallergenic dog.  Some people's allergies are irritated strictly by dog hair.  In that case, a goldendoodle that is low shedding may be just fine.  However, some people are allergic to pet dander.  Dander is made up of skin cells that are shed through your dog's coat.  If that is the case, you may still suffer from allergies with your goldendoodle.
